Frequently Asked Questions

What are your hours of operation?

Childcare program hours are 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Preschool hours are 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM (earlier if arrangements are made with staff). We are closed on Labor Day, Veteran's Day, Presidents Day, New Year's Day, 4th of July, MLK Day, Thanksgiving Day and the day after, Christmas Week, Memorial Day, and Good Friday.

What are the admission requirements?

All children admitted to Red Sneakers must be 32 months old and fully potty trained. Required paperwork includes: Enrollment form, Health form, Parent/Guardian agreement form, Child pickup form, and Program policy form.

What if my child will be absent?

Parents MUST contact us by 9:00 AM on any day their child is absent from our program. You can email, text, or call us. If we have not been notified, a $5.00 search fee will be applied to your weekly tuition. This is especially important if your child is expected off the school bus.

Do you have an open parent policy?

Yes. Parents are welcome to visit and pick up their children at any point during the day. However, we do ask that you notify us ahead of time to minimize the disruption to our daily routine.

Is there a snack program for children in your care?

We provide well-balanced snacks and encourage children to try new foods. We adhere to state guidelines when writing our menus, and snacks contain two food groups. Sweets are limited to special projects like baking or birthday treats from home. Our menu is posted weekly. If your child has allergies, please provide special foods and we will supplement with allowable foods. Birthday treats are welcome—fruits and dips, homemade muffins, or ice cream are appreciated. Please check with us first about any food allergies.

What kind of emergency training does your staff have?

All of our childcare providers are required to have pediatric first aid and CPR training. Our staff is also trained in signs and symptoms of illness, abuse & neglect reporting, epi-pen administration, medication protocols, and playground safety.

What is the late pickup policy?

All parents must pick up their child by 5:30 PM. A fee of $20.00 for the first 10 minutes past 5:30 PM and $10.00 for each additional 10 minutes will be charged. Please call if you feel you will be a few minutes late.

What should my child bring each day?

Parents must provide a lunchbox with lunch and an ice pack, a water bottle, and a snack for mid-morning. Please put your child's name on everything. Security items such as blankets are allowed.
